The Elements
Conscious Clay’s glazes are inspired by the classical elements: Earth, Air, Fire, Water, and Aether.
These elements have been used for centuries to describe the natural world and its processes.
Originating from ancient philosophies and traditions, each element symbolizes different energies, traits, and essential aspects of nature, life, and the universe. It is believed that these elements exist in varying degrees within every individual, reflecting the fundamental principles that make up all things.
Earth
Earth represents protection, compassion, perseverance, stability, fertility, and growth, it is the embodiment of a solid and nurturing presence.
Earths colours include mint and forest green, splashes of blue, plum and bronze.
Air
Air represents intellect, wisdom, and communication. Air is the element of the mind, embodying ideas, knowledge, and clarity of thought.
Airs colours include white and grey, iron undertones, sky blue and amber.
Fire
Fire, dynamic and transformative. It symbolizes energy, willpower, and passion. It represents change & creativity, and the power to bring about one’s desires.
Fires colours include deep crimson red and blue lava.
Water
Water, fluid and deep. It represents emotional depth, healing, intuition and the subconscious. Water reflects the cyclical nature of life and the flow of energy.
Waters colours include turquoise and deep ocean blues.
Aether
Aether represents intuition, balance, unity, sound, vibration and is the connection to the divine, the bridge between the physical and spiritual realms. Ether provides the canvas on which all other elements manifest.
Aethers colours include amythest and magenta.
