A soothing size for children, larger pets, or a partial amount of adult ashes. This capacity is often chosen when families wish to divide ashes between relatives, or when some will be scattered or placed in several meaningful locations.
‘Garnet’ is a hand-thrown stoneware urn, finished in a traditional Chinese ox-blood glaze that pools into a deep, dark burgundy red. The matching ceramic lid reveals soft touches of tenmoku layered beneath the surface, adding richness and quiet movement to the piece.
Crafted in my Dunsborough studio, each vessel is slowly shaped, dried, bisque-fired, and glaze-fired to 1300 °C. No two will ever be the same—each one is an individual expression of form, fire, and intention.
